OUR BEHAVIOR TRAINING
With years of experience working with police dogs, working dogs, and family companions, our team approaches behavior training with a calm, structured mindset. Founder Scott Tarpley, a graduate of the Tom Rose School, has trained countless dogs and mentored instructors Andrew Northup and Bonnie using the same proven methods.

FOUNDATIONS & STRUCTURE
Behavior change starts with structure. We establish clear routines, boundaries, and expectations that help dogs feel secure and confident. Training focuses on leadership, engagement, and communication so dogs understand what’s expected of them in everyday life.
This stage often includes leash work, place training, impulse control, and consistent handling techniques to reset behavior patterns.
REACTIVITY & CONFIDENCE BUILDING
Many behavior issues stem from fear, overstimulation, or lack of clarity. We carefully expose dogs to triggers at the right pace, teaching calm responses instead of reactive ones. Controlled setups and structured field work help dogs build confidence without becoming overwhelmed.
Owners learn how to recognize stress signals, manage environments, and guide their dogs through challenging situations safely and effectively.
OBEDIENCE & LIFE SKILLS
Reliable obedience is a key part of behavior modification. We strengthen sit, down, stay, recall, leash manners, and place commands so dogs can remain focused around distractions. Training also addresses household rules, impulse control around food and doors, and appropriate behavior with guests.
